ProStraw Systems tested by Storm Doris

Storm Doris swept across the UK mainland on Thursday 23rd February. It brought widespread snow to Scotland and lashing rain and gale-force winds to the rest of the British Isles and Ireland. Gusts reached around 90mph along the Welsh coast, whilst speeds of 70mph were regularly recorded throughout the Midlands and East Anglia. These are just the sort of conditions then that would put ProStraw Systems stack covers to the ultimate test.

As a matter of routine, it’s always good practice to ensure the cover straps are tightly ratcheted near their anchor pins, and the sheets aren’t loose or overlapping the ends of stacks. That said, it didn’t stop us from making some hasty double-checks for peace of mind on the morning of the impending ‘weather bomb’. We sat out the worst of the weather, and then after six hours of everything that Doris could throw at our covers, we were delighted (and somewhat relieved) to discover that they had remained in perfectly in place without any damage at all.
